This couple are the kind of folks who if I could I’d go out with them to photograph their maternity session every week if I could because they were so much fun! This beautiful lady is Ukrainian and wanted to incorporate some of her heritage in a couple of beautiful scarves she wore in some of her shots. I cannot wait to meet their sweet baby girl !
These sweet people booked me for a maternity and newborn package back in the summer. Mama wasn’t sure how her pregnancy would go and if she would be early so we stuck closer to home with a maternity session at Carburn Park. It was brisk but so gorgeous out. September’s weather was terrible and we lucked out with this session.
These two beautiful people waited a long time for this little gem of a girl and I was so honoured to take her photos for them. Dad asked for a special photo with babe in plaid as that’s his jam and what he always wears and it turned out adorable! She was so good for her whole session, she slept the entire time, it was a dream! I can’t wait to see them again <3
This was SUCH a fun session! We shot just before sunset at Fish Creek Park in Calgary and it was a gorgeous night. J brought a dress of her own to start and it was mustard coloured and gorgeous! The pink, sequin and black gowns are in the Lace & Locket Client Closet which you can visit here.
I can’t wait to Photograph this stunning couple’s adorable babe in September, it’s sure to be as fun and gorgeous as these folks were at their maternity session!
As some of you know, I participate in and absolutely love a little trade show called Mommylicious. WELL. When one of the owners of my favourite little trade show gets pregnant with her first little angel, OBVIOUSLY I started planning that photo session the second she found out!!
Krista wanted a white dress and I didn't have one. I wasn't able to find one. TILL THE DAY OF THE SESSION. It was glorious. Her session was so amazing. I absolutely LOVE the colours in this session, it was done in early May down at Carburn Park in South Calgary. Far drive if you're in Airdrie but so worth it and if you don't believe me, these photos should be proof. I can't wait for to post this little one's newborn session.
Bryanna has been a client of mine for a couple years now but not for anything maternity or newborn related. She's family to one of my absolute favourite clients that are also great friends and so I was beyond elated when she messaged me back in 2017 that she was pregnant and she wanted to have a Fresh 48 session! YAY!!!!!
Fast forward to a couple months ago and her friend (an amazing, incredible and very kind friend!) gifted her a maternity session. I immediately had the vision in my head of what we should do and she was so on board for it! I wanted a springy, boho style session with buds on trees, GRASS......flowers........and then Mother Nature was like, HAHAHAHAHA No.
But she was a trooper. She was down for all my ideas in the snow and her session is one of my top favourites of all time!!! She looks like a snow goddess. I am SO excited for baby to arrive, now if it would just COME....ANYTIME...... :)
Getting ahold of this lady was taxing at first as she's a busy bee and so am I but after a good amount of phone tag, we finally got her booked in and we did her session out in the mountains on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. It wasn't as cold as some of my other sessions had been so we seized the opportunity and the results were stunning!
I have known this gorgeous gal for a number of years, she was one of my bosses many years ago when I used to work with makeup for a living! We have stayed in touch throughout the years and when she got pregnant with her first, she reached out to me to do her maternity & newborn photos. I was honoured! I wanted it to be extra special so I moved her date to when I was in the mountains for a whole weekend and found a whole new location I've never used before for her mountain maternity. We had a blast in the snow on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon.

I know I say this basically every time but these folks are just the bee's knees. I am truly blessed to have such incredible clients come into my life and my studio and trust me with their memories. Morgan booked me back last July for her mountain maternity & newborn packages. She was due on my wedding anniversary and just through emailing her back and forth I felt so connected to her.
You can find Morgan's maternity session here.
Morgan's newborn session was done on a freezing cold morning in her home using natural light from her windows. Little baby M's daddy is an avid snowboarder and asked if I'd do some shots to symbolize that and of course, I couldn't say no. I loved this session and I absolutely cannot wait to see this gorgeous family again!
