Sweet little Quinn had her birthday back in June and had the most adorable cake smash ever! She's actually the only baby I've had willingly (after some coaxing) smash her cake and eat it! Her mama made the cake and the banner and she did such a great job! She acted like it was awful in some photos but you know she had so much fun. She warmed right up to me from the start and gave me the cutest smiles ever!!! And I am absolutely in love with her lilac & gold romper her mama brought for the cake smash part!
This baby was perfect! I wish all babies were as good as her. At first she needed some settling but once she was asleep, she went deep and I was able to do pose after pose and it went so well! She was such a doll.
This family was the winner of my first model call of 2017. I had plans for this sweet FOURTH baby girl of the family, but she had other plans. She was so beautiful, but made me work for the shots I got, which had nothing to do with any of the shots I wanted. I still think it was worth it all though because the photos I did get are perfect, to me anyways! And to her mama. Can you imagine having FOUR girls?! I only have two and it's intense, haha.
It's been pointed out to me that I like to incorporate nature into my images where I can and maybe that's where I was struggling with this girl. She was eating one last time and while I waited I was thinking in my head, "Wow, this isn't going like I had planned!" and I was walking around the client's home and noticed she had some pussy willows on a table and a bucket of what I think were birch branches, and I got a burst of inspiration and made a little makeshift f
This mama booked her baby in very last minute & I am so glad she did. This angel was perfect for me. I think I had about 4 babies in this one week which was a little crazy for me in February and it was a stretch of perfection, they were all so good. I only meant to get a few poses but she was just so good, she slept so well that I had to take advantage and get as many as I could. I had also just had an Egg epiphany a few days before and felt I needed to execute it with this sweet girl. I had just bought the eggs at Michael's on the way to this session & it turned out phenomenally!
Her big brother was an absolute star too, so eager to help me and hold his baby sister, this session was absolutely the most perfect it ever could have gone. It was magnificent. This session was done in the client's home, using the client's window & floor. Let me know what you think in the comments section!
Baby Brooklyn was just perfect. So perfect. And so were her big brother and sister, this mama is one lucky lady to have such a gorgeous, perfect set of children! This gorgeous babe was photographed in her home and only a few short days before Christmas! I was so grateful to be able to shoot this babe's newborn session and I can't wait to see her & her family again!
This session was so much fun! This family was so amazing to photograph, so sweet & caring. They were so excited to have their new baby girl join their family you could tell she was truly a princess before she even came to into the world. Her grandpa was so excited he made her a little frame that we laid her in to use for a couple of the shots, and I brought my white baroque frame to lay her in since she was the cutest, sweetest little thing! I was so happy this family chose me to photograph their precious little princess joining their family!
Tara is a good friend of mine, we used to work together when I worked in retail before I chose to follow my dreams of being a photographer. When I found out she was having a baby I was so overjoyed because if Tara was going to be a pro at anything, it was being a momma and you could tell it would be her calling from just meeting her. This little bug coming has filled her heard plum full and I was so honoured to be able to photograph her when she made her entrance into the world. Mya was the easiest baby ever and she just made my job so easy to do. I love babies like that!
What a gorgeous family! And how blessed are they with three of the most beautiful girls ever! This family was a real joy to photograph and I enjoyed every moment of it. Baby G was born mid-September and shot at 6 days old in her own home! Such a beautiful little babe.
I was so lucky to shoot this gorgeous babe when she graced the world back in February of this year. I made the most adorable little wreath to lay her in because her mamma wanted her session to be rustic and I was struggling finding something that I felt was perfect enough for her, especially in February, although we were having above normal warmth for that time of the year.
So when her family contacted me to do a milestone session for her, I was tickled! She is seriously the most beautiful baby, I can't even handle it. I barely had to edit her images because she is just so radiant, however she wore a glitter tutu for some of her photos so I'll be finding that joy in my studio for the next few months, totally worth it though!
This one photo stood out to me though through this session, I guess you would consider it an outtake but I LOVED it and included it in their gallery because it really shows what being a family is, what being the parent of a child really is. As the child grows you see less and less of the parent but they're always in the background, always behind the scenes. They are always there to catch you when you fall, when you take steps that you're a little uneasy about. It's a beautiful thing. So I wanted to separate that photo from the rest because I love it so much! I just might put it on my wall in my studio!
