Baby K and her Dad in Plaid | Airdrie Newborn Photographer | Airdrie, AB | Lace & Locket Photo

These sweet people booked me for a maternity and newborn package back in the summer. Mama wasn’t sure how her pregnancy would go and if she would be early so we stuck closer to home with a maternity session at Carburn Park. It was brisk but so gorgeous out. September’s weather was terrible and we lucked out with this session.

These two beautiful people waited a long time for this little gem of a girl and I was so honoured to take her photos for them. Dad asked for a special photo with babe in plaid as that’s his jam and what he always wears and it turned out adorable! She was so good for her whole session, she slept the entire time, it was a dream! I can’t wait to see them again <3

The Early Arrival | Airdrie Newborn Photographer | Lace & Locket Photography

Have you ever woken up realizing that your alarm didn't go off and you're supposed to be somewhere in 20 minutes? I feel like that's what this couple felt like when they ended up having their baby almost an entire month earlier than expected!

Erin booked me for both maternity (you can see her stunning session here) and newborn photos and we had just finished our session and while I was away in Mexico, I got a message from her with a picture of this teeny tiny little 4 lb baby and you can imagine my surprise! He wasn't due for another month! Well holy! But he was soooo cute!

Little one needed to stay in the NICU for a couple weeks before he could come home and I waited for mama to contact me to do the photos as I didn't want to overwhelm her. So Baby B came into the studio weighing in at 5 lbs making him the second smallest baby I've photographed, and he was precious. He did so well, it was incredible! He gave me so many smiles and he slept like a dream ( for me of course, can't say the same for mom & dad!)

I am so honoured that Erin chose me for her maternity and newborn photos and I can't wait to see them again soon! <3

Little Dino Dude | Airdrie Newborn Photographer | Airdrie, AB | Lace & Locket Photography

This mama booked her session pretty last minute with me because she was on the fence about getting newborn photos done. I am so glad that she did though because she was AWESOME to meet, and she's come to the studio since with this little dude and it makes my heart smile. She's so funny and we get along so well, Im glad to have her as a client <3.

He didn't let me finish his session in-studio so I drove to their place to finish as Mom had painted a mural in his nursery all by herself and I felt that it was super important to capture those for her. That's why his session was a little bit studio posed and a little bit lifestyle session!

Mama loves dinosaurs, and she's a geologist by day so we tried to incorporate dinosaurs in all the ways we could :) And a little Super Mario too!

I was lucky to have this dynamic duo back in the studio for Mother's Day minis so I got to see little buddy getting bigger! What an overly adorable little one! So chunk and full of smiles! So cute!

Baby M & Her Daddy's Snowboard | Airdrie Newborn Photographer | Lace & Locket Photography

I know I say this basically every time but these folks are just the bee's knees. I am truly blessed to have such incredible clients come into my life and my studio and trust me with their memories. Morgan booked me back last July for her mountain maternity & newborn packages. She was due on my wedding anniversary and just through emailing her back and forth I felt so connected to her.

You can find Morgan's maternity session here

Morgan's newborn session was done on a freezing cold morning in her home using natural light from her windows. Little baby M's daddy is an avid snowboarder and asked if I'd do some shots to symbolize that and of course, I couldn't say no. I loved this session and I absolutely cannot wait to see this gorgeous family again!

Beautiful Baby R | Airdrie Newborn Photographer | Airdrie, AB | Lace & Locket Photography

This is such a sweet family! This mama has got to have the most amazing, supportive, incredible parents who gifted her a maternity session + newborn session from me for her very first little baby who was coming in December. I was so honoured they chose me when I know there's so much amazing talent & options around for maternity and newborn photographers and yet they chose me so I wanted to provide an exceptional experience for them.

Mama had her maternity session back in October and you can see that session here. She wore a red maternity gown from my collection and I wanted to tie the sessions together somehow - coordinate them - so I got one my favourite prop suppliers (check her Etsy page out here) to custom create a little romper + tieback set specifically for this baby before she was born.

Sweet Baby R was the only baby in December that was born after her due date. She was also the ONLY baby that did not need to have her session reshot due to fuss or lack of cooperation. She was an absolute dream which I was so relieved about after a month of babies who didn't want to be wrapped, didn't want to sleep or settle or have me in their face with my big black camera. Her session was shot in her own home where I travelled to, in her bay window with stunningly natural, beautiful light. LOVED IT.

Baby D | Airdrie Newborn Photographer | Newborn Photographer Calgary | Lace & Locket Photography

This baby! His mama booked me so long ago, back in the spring and was born on his due date. He was so stinkin' cute, his little mouth has got to be the most perfect thing I've ever seen. That being said, he wasn't a fan of me. I went on a Tuesday to do his session and he wasn't having any of me. He screamed and cried and all he wanted was mama so I decided after trying for an hour and a half that it just wasn't his day that's totally ok. It happens. Everyone has off days even babes. So I went back the following Sunday morning. I was concerned when I got there and he still wasn't having me. He made me WOOOOORK but once he finally settled down which was a feat in itself, he let me get away with just about anything. It was quite impressive. So these images are from two separate days but I think the first day I only got about 3 images, haha.

All wraps, fabrics, blankets, layers & props provided by me :)
